"You will always be too much of something for someone: too big, too loud, too soft, too edgy. If you round out your edges, you lose your edge. Apologize for mistakes. Apologize for unintentionally hurting someone — profusely. But don’t apologize for being who you are."

"Be the type of person you want to meet."

Think about it like this.

Would the person you want to meet want to hang out with you?

Do you sit around all day on your computer or are you the person who is part of a social sports team?

Are you making another excuse not to go to the gym, or are you the person your neighbors see running outside every morning without fail?

Are you sitting at home on another Friday night doing another Netflix marathon, or are you out and about, socializing and putting yourself in a position to meet new people?

Put yourself in the shoes of the type of person you want to meet.

Would you want to hang out with your current self?

"Rushing into action, you fail. Trying to grasp things, you lose them. Forcing a project to completion, you ruin what was almost ripe."
